একই দিনে দুটি শোক সংবাদ -- মিরপুরে বস্তিতে আগুন, সব পুড়ে ছারখার আর কাঠমান্ডুতে ইউএস বাংলা এয়ারলাইন্স বিধস্ত; নিহত ৪৫ বাকিরা আহত ও নিখোজ।
আজকের নেপালগামী ইউএসবাংলা এয়ারলাইন্সে আমার ও আমার পরিবারের পরিচিত ৭ জন যাত্রী ছিলেন যাদের মধ্যে সবাই নিহত ও এখন পর্যন্ত নিখোঁজ
সকালে হোমপেইজে এক পরিচিত দম্পতির সেলফি দেখেছিলাম জানতাম না যে ওরা কোথায় যাচ্ছে; হানিমুনে যাচ্ছে এটাই শুধু জানতাম। এখন ওদের আইডি চেক করে দেখলাম ওরা ওই প্লেনেই কাঠমান্ডু যাচ্ছিল
আরেকজন আমার বয়সী আমার ছোট বোনের বান্ধবীর বড় ভাই। রিসেন্টলি অনেক ফ্রেন্ড ঘুরতে গেছে। জানি না আরও অনেক পরিচিত আছে কিনা

I listened to this recording quite a few times. And this is clearly a stupid failure of the Air Traffic Controller of KTM. Both of the ATC guys sounds novice and shaky. They don't know what they are doing.

They gave BS211 clearance to land via either runway 02 (from South to North) or 20, the captain opted for 20 from North to South, and the ATC agreed and gave him clearance to land (which I think the other ATC guy who shows up last moment didn't know). Then this other shaky ATC guy talks about this army aircraft on the runway and asks to cancel the landing of BS211 at the very last moment. Bangla Star pilot most probably tried to abort the landing or divert the aircraft and failed, as the instructions came from the ATC too late.

Tower cleared another aircraft (Buddha282) to land on runway 02.

KTH-Tower: „Confirm you’re tracking towards runway 20 ?“

KTH-Tower: „Right..left, right downwind runway 02, I say again Bangla 212 traffic is on final runway 02 landing on runway 02.“
BS211(male voice): „Copied Sir“

Tower confirmed landing clearance for the other aircraft (Buddha282) to land on runway 02.
